So Baraka was one of the films recommended for photographers - it's in the same general vein as Koyaanisquatsi: there's no conventional storyline, it's a feature-length montage showing "man's relationship with the earth".

How does it differ from Koyaanisquatsi? It shows some rituals from all the major religions, contrasted with both tribal life and modern industrialisation - mixed in with some spectacular scenery. The soundtrack contains a lot of traditional ethnic folkmusic from around the world.

Highly recommended.
