HDTV thoughts

The next generation of video consoles, the PS3 and Xbox360, will support output to HDTV. We're currently working on the design of a game that might be released in 4Q07 or 1Q08. We're going to want to test these on HDTV sometime next year, and I have started to think about when I might want to upgrade my TV at home.

Sky have announced they will be going to HDTV sometime early in 2006 - probably in time for the european football championships? I currently use NTL's cable TV service - it looks like they wil start their roll-out by the end of '06, and complete it by the end of '07.

Chart Track: Our WereRabbit game (based on the new Wallace and Gromit film) has entered the UK PS2 chart at Number 8 - a pretty good position - let's hope it rises even higher as the advertising kicks in, and people go to see the film.

I have become completely addicted to flickr recently - ironically, my most popular photo so far is this mosaic made up of blue-sky shots from the onesky group - hundreds of people around the world all took photos of the sky on the 1st of October.
Where my flickr contacts have a blog, I have now added a link in my blogroll.
I have also started my first flickr group - for Cambridgeshire.

The 'onesky' group on flickr is collecting photos of the sky taken today. I found the group at 5pm on Saturday the 1st - I went out for a stroll around the village and took about 30 photos - 12 of the sky - and I have chosen this one as my contribution to the group pool.
